The younger elementary students have continued to learn about what life was like for colonial American children, mostly focusing on education.
They all had a chance to try the lacing "horn books" and to cut out and color a picture of a horn book for their history logbooks.
Then, we made a little booklet with sample pages from the New England Primer and each child had a chance to read a page out loud to the class.
Since we've been learning about the games that colonial children played, we had sack races on Wednesday.
The Older elementary students learned more about colonial home life.
