Preparing for the Revolution
The Older Elementary students have been learning about what events led up to the American Revolutionary War, using a worksheet that demonstrates the events as a domino effect.
The Younger Elementary students have continued learning about daily life in colonial times.
They started the week, by using quill pens to write the alphabet.
It looked like so much fun, that one of the older children wanted to try, but he discovered it was harder than it looked.
We have been starting our history lessons this week with a "fireside" story that illustrates what colonial life was like.

Today, we talked about the importance shipping, and briefly touched on the subject of whaling.
