The Ballad of Bronco Charlie

The children have started working on our final history song for this year, "The Ballad of Bronco Charlie". The song is about 11 year old, Bronco Charlie, the youngest rider on the Pony Express, a real person who went on to preform in Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show.

"Grand Adventure"

Continuing our unit about Lewis and Clark.

Today we finished the book about York that we started last Thursday.



The corp of discovery also included Lewis' big Newfoundland dog, named Seaman. Our version of the dog joined us for story time today.

Learning A New Song

Now that the children are learning about the American Revolutionary War, it's time to add a new song to their History song repertoire. Today's rehearsal of "The Tea and the Taxes", a song about the Boston Tea Party:



We were short several children today due to illness.

Welcome to the New World

The children just stared learning a new song about American History called "Welcome to the New World". This is only our third practice, so they don't know all the words yet, but they sure make up for that in enthusiasm.
