For science Friday morning, the children learned about the principles of flight and then had a paper airplane flying contest.
This was the design that flew the farthest:
To keep half the class busy while the other half tried various flight related toys, there was also marksmanship practice with squirt guns and paper cups.
After lunch, the students went to art class, where they learned two different styles of candle making, dip candles and sand candles.
Pat showed the class what a bayberry plant looks like and explained how the early settlers made wax from the berries.
